Initial troubleshooting steps

Make sure the printer is powered on and has no error lights.
Check that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer, or that the USB cable is secure.
Restart the printer and wait for it to fully start up.
In your computer's printer settings, set the printer to Online if it shows Offline.
Try printing a test page.
